Certified Tutor

I graduated from Trinity College in May 2013 with a BS in Mathematics and a BA in Economics. I first worked as a tutor at a private educational company teaching children ages K-12 reading comprehension and mathematics. I also worked as a math teacher at another private educational company, helping high schoolers with Geometry, Algebra, Statistics, Trigonometry and even AP Calculus. Although I enjoy teaching math, I am also available to teach Writing (especially essays), Reading Comprehension, Economics, the SAT and ACT, and Literature.

In my experience as a tutor, it is important to be patient. Not only must you understand the material, you must also understand how your students learn and adapt your teaching method to their needs. It also helps if you can make the subject matter as interesting as possible, so it doesn't feel like work to them. I look forward to working with everyone this year!
