Certified Tutor

I am a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin in Petroleum Engineering. I am very passionate about teaching and would like to complete my teaching certificate in the near future. I have a lot of experience tutoring students in math classes ranging from middle school math to advanced math topics such as calculus. I don't see tutoring as a means to finding an answer, but rather an opportunity to learn and visualize the problems and learn more about the problems themselves. I have always enjoyed math because it is one of the only subjects that you can always prove your answer to be correct with concrete evidence. I am a very patient person and won't give up on my students because I know that everyone is capable of solving the problems they are given. It is a matter of how the students will learn it and I believe that if the students don't understand a problem, I am not doing a good enough job and will constantly adjust my teaching style until my student masters their subjects. In my free time I love doing a variety of different activities. One of my favorite things is food! I love cooking and baking different items. I also love hiking outdoors and playing different sports. I also love music! Whenever there is a music festival near me, I will definitely attend! And when music festivals aren't around, you'll definitely find me singing along at a karaoke place with my friends. Lastly, I am in love with movies. I love all genres and enjoy watching how beautiful the motion pictures turn out.
