Certified Tutor

I am a 2013 graduate of Juniata College. I graduated with honors and received my Bachelor of Science in Biology. During my undergraduate I was a peer tutor for several subjects including several biology and chemistry courses. Additionally, I ran biology discussion groups for freshman biology students. These were small group sessions for 15-20 students where we would go over concepts from lecture, homework, review for exams, and discuss study strategies to enhance learning. Since graduation, I have worked on several research projects in biomedical science, including an international public health project in India. I am passionate about learning and education and enjoy helping others discover the joy in educational exploration. I use my enthusiasm for learning and intense attention to my students to find individualized ways to inspire them to find their own passion for education. I am currently working as a veterinary technician and hope to attend veterinary school. In my spare time I enjoy reading, cuddling with my cat, running and hiking.
