I am a graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Theater Studies. I tutor a variety of subjects, but I have the most fun with English and Writing. While still at Yale, I worked at the Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School teaching writing and playwriting to freshmen students. I saw exciting advancements in my students' skills during my time there, and I believe it was because I made sure that my classes were always fun as well as informative. I have had the most success teaching when I help my students to develop an independent interest in the material we are working on. When not tutoring, I am a working actor in New York who enjoys running in Fort Tryon Park and watching Game of Thrones.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Primarily, I want to help students have fun developing their own skills and confidence.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I would make sure that we spent a few minutes getting to know each other to ensure an easy relationship. Then I would gauge the student's comfort level with the material and proceed from there. We might work through a few things together, and then I would ask the student to do a problem alone and explain his/her process to me.
