What is your teaching philosophy?
hands-on for students. They must have hands-on to totally understand.

Establish a rapport with them, and assess where they are and the difficulties they are having.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Have them solve the problems with me. I ask them questions like "what is the next step?"
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Be upbeat, be motivational and maintain rapport.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Time for a motivational talk with them.
