Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Molloy College for my undergraduate education in Elementary Education. After receiving my Education degree, I proceeded to further my academic knowledge and obtain a degree at St. John's University. I received a Masters of Science in Literacy and Mental Health Counseling. Throughout my master's education, I have been teaching students at a New York City Public School. I currently have been teaching 1st grade. Also, I have been privately tutoring students within the borough of Queens. I am passionate in teaching all subjects, however, I am most passionate about reading, writing, and phonics. In my experience of helping struggling students in these areas, it is most important to remember that all students have different styles of learning. Therefore, it is important to differentiate these subject areas according to the students individualized needs. Outside of my professional life, I love to travel and read books. I look forward to working with students in order to adhere to their needs and allow them to grow as learner's.
