Certified Tutor

I have a Bachelor's degree in Music from New Mexico State University and a Master's degree in Music from the University of Northern Colorado. I am an operatic and classical singer who has performed extensively in Colorado, New Mexico, Indiana, Washington, Germany, France, Russia, the Czech Republic, and the United Kingdom. My experiences of having voice teachers and of teaching private voice lessons have strengthened and supported my tutoring. My time teaching preschool classes in Seattle has affirmed my commitment to practicing empathy in any and all learning environments.

During my two years in Colorado, I tutored at the Greeley-Evans District 6 Schools. I became very familiar with the Socratic Method and tutored English, History, Literature, Psychology, Earth Science, and Math. Though I enjoy tutoring all Humanities subjects, I especially love editing essays and tutoring English Literature, Language, and History.

My tutoring methods provide lessons tailored to the needs of each individual. My own experience of being tutored has taught me the importance of being flexible and accommodating each student's individual learning style. I strongly believe in teaching students how to teach themselves the information that they need to succeed.
