Certified Tutor

I received degrees in Political Science and Economics at Drew University and studied Education at Eastern University. In 2006, I began my teaching career in Philadelphia Public High Schools. I have developed my teaching methods and style through eight years of experience as a classroom teacher. I have experience teaching American History, African American History, World History, Social Science, Economics, Political Science and AP American Government & Politics. For the past three years, I have taught AP American Government & Politics at one of Philadelphia's highest performing public high schools. My students have consistently excelled on the AP Exam due to the high degree of academic rigor I employ. I have also been selected as an AP Reader. As such, I was given the opportunity to travel to Salt Lake City to grade the written portions of the AP Exam. In 2013, I was awarded the Lindback Award for Outstanding Teaching.
