Certified Tutor

I graduated in 2013 from Oberlin College in Ohio, with a B.A. in Politics and American Studies. While at Oberlin, I worked in the College Writing Center, assisting students in planning, writing, and revising their essays and assignments. I also tutored reading and writing in a 6th grade language arts classroom at the local middle school, as well as teaching an English as a Second Language class to adult learners. I am passionate about education and supporting students of all backgrounds and ages. My favorite subjects to tutor are Literature, English, and History - I love watching words come alive for my students. I try to come to each tutoring session with a plan that leaves room for each individual student's skills, personality, and needs. In my spare time, I like to explore the beautiful city we live in, read books, watch baseball, and spend time outdoors.
