Certified Tutor

I am a thriving professional currently working at Arizona State University. While I enjoy a full-time position, I am seeking tutoring work to supplement funds for my joy for travel (currently planning trips to Jordan, Hawaii and the Baltic region). I have a B.A in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College in New York and a M.S from The London School of Economics and Political Science. I have years of experience tutoring English Literature, Writing, and Reading Comprehension both in my hometown of Phoenix with Varsity Tutors and America Reads, as well as in inner-city New York and abroad. I am extremely passionate about transferring my love of learning and the written word to my students! The joy of writing is something that everyone can experience and I love helping students take on the challenge and gain confidence in their craft. I have also taught students how to foster effective study skills. While I was born and raised in the Phoenix-area, I have traveled extensively and have lived in Saudi Arabia, England, Kenya, India and Alaska. During my personal time, I enjoy hiking, yoga, and reading just about anything I can get my hands on. I look forward to offering students my dedication and patience as they work to achieve their goals and help give them the confidence to do so boldly.
