Today we finished the reading comprehension section, checked over the student's second practice test and worked on word problems for math. She did really well on her practice exam.

Today we reviewed some material in preparation for his lab final. We reviewed several different mechanisms and properties of different lab practices. He seemed assured that he would do well and I have every faith that he will.

The student and I met an extra time this week. We split the session about half and half between Math practice and Critical Reading practice. It really seems like she is making progress on both of those sections. We will meet three times again next week.

Not having met last week, the student and I picked up today where we left off two weeks ago. We made our way through two math sections and one reading section, focusing in upon sentence completion questions (and attendant vocabulary), long passages, and fill-in math questions. He performed extremely well on the math sections and almost as well as the reading sections. Homework was assigned to be reviewed next time.

The student and I began this session by going over the question types on the ACT Reading test and skimming strategies to help improve her time management and answer research skills. We then worked through two passages, the "prose fiction" and "humanities" passages, together. She did very well with the questions on the fiction passage, but she faltered on some of the humanities questions. We wrapped up by taking a brief look at some trigonometry homework over graphing trigonometric equations and applying inverse trig functions. Next time, we will do some more ACT Reading work and try to wrap everything up for the test date.

Worked on each of the four sections on Middle East guide. Built on Economics and Oil outline, found sources for this section, built paragraphs around findings. Reviewed summaries on each of the 9 topic areas for the History Final. Research additional citations for support of each argument. Edited politics paper and completed revisions.
