I am a Master of Divinity student at Princeton Theological Seminary. I graduated Harvard College in 2016 and was a peer tutor at Harvard. Before Divinity School, I taught high school and middle school debate and was an SAT/ACT tutor in Birmingham, Alabama. I then taught middle school debate at Success Academy in Harlem and served as a healthcare advocate. I have extensive experience tutoring English, math, science, and SAT/ACT at the middle school through college level. I have tutored students who went on to be accepted into Ivy League universities. I also am highly skilled at working with students with learning differences such as ADHD, autism, and dyslexia as well as students from under-resourced communities. I look forward to helping your student not only excel but also enjoy learning!

I'm a Cornell University alumnus with a BA in Philosophy and Mathematics. My minor was Linguistics. Currently, I'm finishing an MSc in Logic from the University of Amsterdam. I tutor math, chemistry, logic, philosophy, English, Latin, and ACT prep. During my senior year, I was an undergraduate course assistant for Calculus I at Cornell, grading homework and conducting weekly homework study groups. I also taught courses on the philosophy of physics, mnemonics, and category theory to middle school students for a program called Splash. While living in Amsterdam, I was the TA for an introductory cognitive science course that included propositional logic and formal language theory. I took pride in giving highly detailed responses to students' questions, providing concrete examples and analogies to more familiar topics. My teaching philosophy is one of kindness, optimism, and patience. Also, I like to make my lessons as entertaining as possible, which is not difficult because I can be a goof even when it's not intentional. I can break complex topics down to their atoms. I never skip steps or assume that something is understood without confirmation. I try to see everything from your perspective. Most importantly, I work hard. I will go the extra mile to help you. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy writing stories and music. I spend about 2 hours every day exercising, and I love being outdoors!

I'm passionate about helping students because I've seen how meaningful support can turn uncertainty into confidence. I graduated in the top 10% of my high school class and completed a rigorous AP curriculum in subjects like Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Calculus BC, English, Economics, and Spanish. I really enjoyed learning from my teachers and know how transformative good teaching can be. I earned my undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, where I studied Neuroscience, Anthropology, and Global Health. Those disciplines deepened my appreciation for how people learn, think, and connect across different perspectives. I now am about to graduate medical school and enter residency later in the summer, but before I start off my busy career as a doctor, I'm looking to make some money so I can travel and tackle bucket list items that I've not had a chance to do yet. Throughout college and medical school, I've tutored students of varying ages and backgrounds in subjects including biology, chemistry, math, and writing, as well as standardized test preparation. My favorite subjects to tutor are biology and biochemistry because I enjoy helping students see the logic and beauty behind how living systems work. My teaching philosophy centers on patience, adaptability, and curiosity. I approach each session as a collaboration, tailoring lessons to each student's needs and helping them build problem-solving skills rather than rely on rote memorization. Outside of academics, I'm passionate about photography and travelboth of which keep me creative, observant, and open-minded, qualities I bring into every tutoring interaction.

I am currently an undergraduate student at Rice University pursuing a bachelor of science in biochemistry and cell biology on the pre-med track. One of my most memorable experiences in the medical field has been working as a research intern at Texas Children's Hospital and collaborating with genetic specialists to publish a research paper about a rare genetic disease. Medicine is truly one of my greatest passions, and biology has been one of my favorite subjects to tutor through the peer mentorship program at my high school. Through this program, I have also extensively tutored math (from middle school math all the way through IB Mathematics) and find myself drawn by the methodical nature of the subject. Many times, I find that students simply label math as "difficult" because the concepts are brand new and numbers seem like a foreign language. Relating math concepts to simpler everyday ones is one of the many strategies I use when tutoring math, and I have found a lot of success through it. Throughout high school, I have been very active in my school community as the Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper, president of the Speech and Debate Team, and president and founder of the Random Acts of Kindness Club. Through these roles, I have mentored younger students in areas such as writing, research, and public speaking. Additionally, I am fluent in 4 languages (English, Urdu, Arabic, and Spanish), although my favorite one to teach is Spanish. Attending an international school has emphasized to me the importance of diversity, inclusion, and tolerance, and I believe that learning a new language is one of the best ways to reinforce these ideals. In my spare time, you can find me engrossed in arts and crafts, running my Etsy store, or volunteering my local art museum's kids' crafts classes. I also love listening to music, creating music on my violin, and singing various genres.

Throughout the ages, the religious and philosophical leaders of the Far East considered teaching the noblest occupation-- one of true wisdom and selflessness. Having had the great fortune to experience the transformative power of wonderful teachers, I've come to agree with this viewpointI've found my calling in education. I haven't always known that teaching was the vocation for me. Even though I've always taught, on some level, as a T.A., a private tutor, a classroom teacher, or a friend, I tried different jobs in the private sector for several years. However, upon much introspectionmy own enlightenmentI realized that teaching is my true calling. I have a passion for teaching, which is unmatched by any other field. Why do I teach? I teach because I know that I will learn something new from each teaching experience, with every student, with every day, without exception, and because this path is one that I know is beneficial to others and to society as a whole. I teach, because I believe I can do it well. I approach the job with a balance of both diligence and patience, and confidence and humility, with extreme focus and an open mind. I am very patient, which is incredibly important, because learning takes time and involves challenges. When I teach I project a sense of confidence, because as a lifelong perfectionist, I really do my homework! Before each lesson, I make sure I am thoroughly prepared so that I can teach lucidly and coherently and know how to anticipate questions and readily answer them. My confidence helps establish my authority in the classroom. I also strive to make what I teach relevant to my students' lives by drawing on my experiences as a student and teacher. I strive to be an educator like my own favorite teachersa teacher who is passionate about and has profound knowledge of his specialty, who believes in the unparalleled importance of education, and who inspires his students with his devotion.

Hello! My name is Brianni, and I'm passionate about helping students discover the strengths they already have while building the confidence and skills they need to grow. I have been tutoring since high school, when a former teacher asked me to support one of her students. That experience sparked my love for teaching and mentoring, and I've been committed to helping learners succeed ever since. My strongest subject areas are mathematics and writing, where I specialize in breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. As both an educator and a psychology graduate student, I understand that every learner is unique. I believe students learn best when they feel seen, supported, and challenged in ways that fit their individual needs. Whether we are solving equations or refining essays, my goal is to create a space where students feel confident asking questions, taking risks, and growing academically. I am excited to partner with you and help you reach your goals.

I am a driven, positive, affirming tutor who is happy to help students in any way he can. I graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College in 2020, and I obtained my Master's in Political Science from the University of Toronto in 2022. In 2016, I received an SAT score of 1550. That year, I also received a 5 on my AP exams in Calculus AB, English Language, U.S. History, and U.S. Government. I am happy to tutor students in mathematics, English, and social sciences (e.g., history, government). I especially enjoy tutoring pre-algebra and algebra. I believe in a practice-based approach in which I take students step-by-step through the concepts at hand. After practicing together with my guidance, the student will soon be able to apply what they have learned on their own.

I recently graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor's of Science in Neuroscience. As a prospective medical student, I have and will continue to spend a lot of time in the classroom, understanding what makes teaching and learning most effective. I work to integrate my studies into my tutoring, focusing on giving meaningful examples to help drive complex topics home and provide plenty of opportunities for repetition to increase retention. I have a few years of formal tutoring experience, primarily in middle school and high school math, though my focus and interests have shifted since then. Now, my expertise lies in neuroscience, MCAT prep, and all the relevant class material included in those specialties (biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, physics, etc). I've spent most of my education informally tutoring those around me. Whether it was a teacher's request to help explain a concept to my peers or taking the initiative to help out my peers with challenging subjects, I've had plenty of practice working with a variety of subjects and students. I hope to help students not only learn material but understand how they best learn and study, raising their confidence and comfortability inside and outside of the classroom.
