My name is Iliana Godoy and I'm a recent graduate of Dartmouth College. I studied government and studio art, with a focus on the political philosophy of Western society in modern colonies. I'm from Hilo, Hawai'i and I'm especially passionate about my home, land conservation, and the effects of indigenous lead political movements. Since graduating with a Bachelor's in English from Elon University, I have traveled extensively and taught English to a wide variety of students. I started out teaching children aged 10-15 in Korea where I learned how to incorporate technology and multimedia materials to make lessons as engaging impossible and developed a holistic, project-based, interactive style of teaching. Later I moved to Europe where I got my Master's in Literature in Germany and began teaching adult learners and private clients of all ages English both in person and online. I was also a university English instructor to Japanese exchange students for courses such as Essay Writing, Advanced Grammar, Oral Presentation, and American Culture. I enjoy getting creative in developing lessons and getting to know my students in order to figure out the more effective way to increase their skills. I have a passion for all subjects related to English, particularly writing, but I also enjoy teaching a wide range of subjects.

I am a current student at Prairie View A&M University where I am working towards my nursing degree. My end goal is to become a nurse anesthetist which does involve a lot of math. I am extremely excited to help anyone I can understand what they need. My subjects are elementary and middle school level english and math which I have tutored students in these subjects before in different settings. I also help with college math, college algebra.

I am laser-focused on improving student success metrics and preparation for life-long learning. As a historian by academic training, I am a meticulous planner concerned about providing differentiated instruction that meets rigorous standards.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas in Interdisciplinary and soon followed that with a Masters degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in Curriculum and Instruction. I am certified in early childhood through 6th grade teaching as well as an English as a second language instructor. I currently teach prekindergarten for the Arlington ISD however, prior to my prekindergarten position I was an English as a second language intervention teacher for Advantage Academy in Grand Prairie, assisting students from kindergarten through middle school. I have also worked with middle school students as an English as a second language education aide. As and ESL interventionist and ESL education aide, I was able to assist students with understanding instruction in their classrooms as well as provide strategies for teachers for ESL instruction. Even the majority of my prekindergarten students are ESL students and for that reason, I continually use music, songs, and visuals to assist in my instruction as well as fun games to help with learning. I love to teach reading and writing as these are subjects areas necessary for all other subject areas but I have also developed a love of math. I have a son that is ADHD and never felt he got the quality of education he should have and that is one reason I went back to school to become a teacher. I am passionate about doing as much as possible for all of my students, to help them achieve academic success.

I enjoy conveying my knowledge to young people and children. It gives me a sense of purpose and gives me a sense of doing a civic duty to make our society better.

I am a University of Central Florida Student pursuing a B.S. in IT at UCF.I have my general education AA from Valencia College.I tutor Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Algebra (Pre, 1, & 2) HS Chemistry, AWS, and Chess.Chemistry was my best subject when I was learning it, and in the past, I have been able to teach it very well. Math, up to, but excluding Calculus 1, I have a fair bit of experience teaching others.I look forward to tutoring you.

My teaching philosophy is that all students are capable learners when given appropriate instruction that meets their needs. I have been teacher for 19 years with most of my teaching elementary reading K-4. I look forward to meeting and working with you.

I have a keen interest in teaching environment. My master degree in social science, with major in education informs this choice. Secondly, I have strong ambition and passion to pursue my career at research or academic environment. My working experience as researcher coupled with my teaching experience in high school as well as in college may confirm this choice.My high school was focused on French literature with Major in Latin, French and Philosophy. After graduating from high school, I was hired as French teacher. My main tasks were to assist French professor in developing course content, to deliver course instruction as well as assisting students in and outside classrooms. I went to law school and after I graduated I was hired as teaching assistant at University of Kinshasa. My main tasks were to teach French, English legal writing. I learned a lot about French styles as well as French literature.I am applying for this position, because not only I love French literature, but also because I want to pursue my career in a teaching environment. My knowledge of Latin language will allow to apply etymological meaning of words as well as using Latin styles that French stems from. In addition, French is my native language as I grew up speaking French at Home.

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Chicago majoring in Classics and Theatre. However, my college uses the core curriculum and as a result, I've had a well-rounded, eclectic education covering everything from math to fine arts. I've won awards in community service, dance, and film, but most notably, 20 writing prizes before I reached eighteen. I was a National Merit Semi-Finalist in high school and I've had a passion for education and the art of learning since I was a child. I hope to instill in my students the love of amassing knowledge, excelling in your studies, and walking out of a test feeling like you rocked it. I especially had a passion for the Critical Reading and the Writing portions of the SAT's and the SAT 2 in Literature. I have teaching experience with everything from stand-up comedy to Emergency Medical Services to tap dancing, and I've been told that I am unmatched in my enthusiasm. In my free time, I like to perform sketch and improv comedy, dance, play the banjo, and volunteer in my local hospital.
