I am a current pre-med student at the University of Michigan. I am well versed in biology, chemistry, and basic math. My philosophy starts with building a strong foundation and then applying one's foundational knowledge to solve difficult problems and comprehend complex concepts. I love to see students succeed after struggling with even the most difficult problems and concepts. Often times It can take a person long hours to approach these problems. With the assistance of a peer, however, solving the problem is much more efficient and even becomes fun! I believe I can help students understand and retain material in an easily digestible manner and I love to see students succeed after investing time into their academics.

I recently graduated from the University of Connecticut with a double major in Chemistry and Molecular/Cellular biology. During my time at UConn, I worked as a tutor for General Chemistry for 3 years, and have gained experience working with students in-person and online. I have also been involved in Biochemistry research, which has led to my authorship in a published academic journal. In the fall, I plan to continue my education by getting a Ph.D. in Chemistry at UConn. I strongly believe in the value of education, and through tutoring, I work to make education accessible, understandable, and as stress-free as possible for everyone. The subjects I focus on are Biology, Chemistry, and Algebra.

I am a recent graduate from the University of California, Riverside where I received my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and graduated in the top 4% of my class. My senior year at UCR I worked as a tutor in the subjects of Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Statistics, and Neuroscience. My passion for tutoring lies in my desire to reveal students' potential and build their confidence in the field of STEM. I am here to show students that they are capable and give them opportunities to utilize unique methods and techniques to approaching problems/concepts that may endure beyond one's schooling years. My tutoring approach consists of utilizing a bottom up approach to engage students by building complex concepts beginning from a fundamental level. I like to use a variety of techniques to accommodate to the needs of the students as many can be placed into the categories of: Auditory, Visual, Kinesthetic, and/or Read/Write learners.

I've been a TA for 2 years now, teaching and grading labs for both general chemistry and Biochemistry. Additionally, I've tutored for a wide variety of students in many subjects outside of chemistry, though have done extensive tutoring in chemistry fields as well. I generally tutor for World History, International Relations, Writing, Political Science, Chemistry (Inorganic, Organic, and Physical), Biochemistry, and many other subjects. I am a B.S. Biochemistry from the University of Delaware and I'm intending to go to medical school.I'm very passionate about helping students do their best and get the best grades possible. It's unfortunate many students don't feel like their professors or TAs don't actually give help. What I'm hoping to do as a tutor is to mend that gap a bit with a mutually beneficial interaction.I love tutoring most General Chemistry, Biochemistry, and International Relations type work. I have very strong depth and breadth in all these subjects, and always am willing to help students on these issues. I tutor best through example, either working through problems students have or talking with them about the work. I also am very good at helping students brainstorm essay topics or issues, and reviews on the subject. I prefer active learning over passive learning, lecturing is boring and tends to be a waste of time unless there's some interaction.Outside Academia, I love to write and hike. I'm also an avid subpar cooker, so if you want to know how to burn eggs I'm your guy.

I graduated from Emory University in 2014 with a BS degree in Neuroscience. Since then, I have started medical school at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. Given my strong science background, I feel most comfortable tutoring the life sciences, but I am also interested in tutoring Math, French, and Reading/Writing, including editing papers for content as well as grammar and syntax. I try to take a personable approach to tutoring, helping others relate the material to their own interests in order to help bridge the gap between one's own knowledge and a seemingly confusing realm of material. Together, we can work towards fostering an interest in lifelong learning, while keeping the material fun and engaging along the way. Apart from my studies, I'm passionate about dance, having dabbled in various forms of South Asian dance including Bollywood, garba/raas, bhangra, and classical, and I also like to cook and travel to new places.

I am a graduate of University of Nebraska Medical Center for my Master's degree. I received my Bachelor of Science in biology with chemistry and philosophy as minors. Since graduation, I have been a student and graduate research assistant at University of Nebraska Medical Center and pursued a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology, as well as did research within colorectal cancer. While I tutor a broad range of science courses, my passion lies within biology. I have experience being a tutor as in my undergraduate years, I was both a Math and Science Center Tutor and also a Peer Tutor. I have a strong passion to help others become not only better students but to also engage in a way that encourages learning and curiosity.

I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, as well as a minor in Criminology. I am currently applying for medical school and hope to begin next year.Biochemistry is my favorite subject to tutor; it is actually the class that made me fall in love with medicine! I also tutor English and grammar, biology, chemistry, and psychology. Additionally, being that I am a native Spanish speaker, I can also expertly tutor Spanish.Throughout my years in high school and college, I "peer-tutored" by assisting fellow classmates and explaining confusing concepts to them. I believe this gave me great experience to be able to similarly tutor others with subjects I am already familiar with.

I am currently a rising senior at Carnegie Mellon University, majoring in Biological Chemistry, and minoring in Cognitive Neuroscience and Chinese Studies. I also conduct research in inorganic chemistry with focus in photochemistry with environmental applications. I'm excited to help students in chemistry or biology, or with general science, to both strengthen their performance and to encourage them to develop a curiosity for applying science to their own life. I have been a volunteer tutor and teaching assistant for elementary math and reading, as well as elementary, middle, and high school science. I have taken and excelled in AP courses, college courses, and graduate level chemistry courses and hope to prepare students for similar success by explaining and reviewing material, introducing study and testing strategies, and getting at the "why" behind important concepts. Outside of science, I love music including singing, dancing, and instruments and enjoy crafts, learning Chinese, and doing crossword puzzles.
