I have a BA with majors in history and political science in minors in Asian studies and international politics. I took a year off of school to try my hand at working. During that year I worked at a living history site, where I educated visitors of all ages on early American history. I went back to grad school for a Master's in Public Administration with a specialty in Organizational Development. I worked full time while putting myself through grad school. It's important to gain life experience as well as educational experience. Both make you a well-rounded lifelong learner. I continued to work as a nontraditional educator in parks in recreation. Once I earned by MPA, I went back to school (again while working full time) and earned my Doctorate in Education. I love helping students of all ages learn about history, earth science, political philosophy and literature. In my free time I coach softball and soccer--two sports I played at varsity level in college.

In my free time I enjoy reading--many historical classics such as Jane Austen, Charles Dickinson, Willa Cather and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I am also active coaching softball and soccer and still playing softball in the summer.
