With four years of STEAM teaching and experience tutoring middle and high schoolers, I've learned that tailoring lessons to each student and being consistent is what helps students understand concepts and get results!
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development from The University of Texas and a Master in Education Administration from Dallas Baptist University. While I have just recently retired from a 28-year career in education, I am still passionate about helping students achieve their personal best. I believe that all students can learn; They just may not be able to master concepts on the same day and in the same way as their peers. As a tutor, I get the distinct privilege of figuring out what is causing the student to struggle and support the child in overcoming the challenge. My goal is for the student to not only master content but to learn effective strategies that can be employed in new learning situations as well as build the self-confidence needed to be an independent learner.
As a dedicated tutor currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, I have over 2 years of experience in tutoring subjects ranging from Elementary School Math to Calculus 2. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and explore concepts deeply. I strive to connect with each student, tailoring my approach to meet their unique learning styles and needs. My passion for mathematics drives me to help students not only understand the material but also appreciate its real-world applications. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy solving engineering challenges and exploring new technologies, which further enriches my teaching perspective. I am available to help students earn high SAT scores, understand math from elementary subjects up to Differential Equations/Linear Algebra, and science subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Also, I can give great college application support for those applying for scholarships, colleges, and other resources.
My life experiences to date have taken me across four continents. I was born in India before spending my formative years in Algeria and England, before again traveling westward, to North America, where I expanded my global perspective in French-speaking Montral and multicultural Texas. The longitudes and latitudes that I have traversed in a quarter-century have instilled in me an irrepressible thirst for discovery, while the breadth of my experiences made me confident that I could make a meaningful in my community.I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and will be continuing my studies in International Finance and Economic Policy at Columbia in August. Until then, I am free to tutor/teach in any capacity that I can.
I believe the key to successful teaching is getting to know each learner and finding out what interests them and how they best learn.I graduated from UT Austin, and hold a current teaching certificate. I am passionate about teaching and have experience teaching and tutoring learners from diverse backgrounds and ages. I will strive to create interesting lessons or tutoring help that caters to your unique need.

I'm a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. I graduated with a degree in aerospace engineering. It was a tough four and half years of hard work, but I truly learned a lot about myself. Above anything else, I learned to believe in myself. It was through this experience that I realized I wanted to help young minds find power and self-confidence within themselves. Although I am now considered an adult I still fully enjoy watching cartoons and riding my bike. Some of my top favorite cartoons include Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, and of course Adventure Time. I also absolutely enjoy the wonders of traveling. Last summer I studied abroad in France without knowing any French! It was an unforgettable and incredibly fun experience. I'd be more than happy to share my travel stories with you!

I have done research regarding autoimmune disorders, aim to further my laboratory experience by developing diagnostic tests for mosquito-borne pathogens, and volunteer in a hospice center and a food pantry. I want to ensure that everyone, regardless of their situation, has access to the help they deserve when it comes to academics. I understand that people learn in different ways, and I want to ensure that people can learn in their preferred manner.
I tutor the LSAT because I know it's a hard test and I know what it's like to struggle with it. However I also understand the process necessary to produce better scores, and nothing is more satisfying to me than helping someone achieve what seemed impossible a few months ago.
I am a current UT Austin student majoring in Biochemistry! I am also involved in the UTeach Natural Science program at UT, where I'm working to get a certificate to teach high school chemistry. I am especially passionate about teaching English Language Arts and Reading because strong reading and writing skills form the foundation for learning in every subject. I enjoy helping students strengthen reading comprehension, analyze literature, and develop writing skills that allow them to clearly express their ideas. My goal is to help students move beyond simply completing assignments to truly understanding and engaging with what they read. My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and adaptable. I believe every student learns differently, so I work to meet students where they are and break challenging concepts into manageable steps. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities.
I'm a medical student at UT Southwestern. During my time at UT, I have been very involved in various clubs. I am a fourth year undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering Honors with minors in Computer Science and Business. I have always been passionate about helping others by continuing the chain of mentorship that I received and helping others avoid the same mistakes I once made. Prior to University, I spent my spare time spreading environmental awareness to elementary students, coaching middle school basketball teams, and guiding nascent MathCounts and Science Olympiad programs. Since arriving at UT Austin, I have had the privilege of teaching a classroom of middle schoolers for a semester as part of the UTeach Outreach program. I am most passionate about Math, Computer Science, and the college application process. In my experience helping struggling students prepare their applications for admissions, I have had the most fun reviewing essays and revising resumes. I also enjoy sharing tips and tricks to solving any Standardized Math Test questions! I truly believe education is the key to a better future, and it cannot be taken for granted because of the unequal opportunities that others face. Outside of academia, I enjoy working out, hiking, playing sports with my friends, and showing people new songs!
I'm Jay! I'm currently going to college at the University of Texas at Austin. I am majoring in fine arts and I am also in the pre-medical program. Even though I'm not done with college, I have already published papers in the field of epigenetics since my freshmen year of college. Even though I consider myself to have an expertise in languages, I decided to teach areas in the field of natural sciences because those are the subjects that I am most passionate about.I was born in Taiwan; however, even before I learned how to speak, I moved to the States. Hence, my first language was English. In third grade, my parents decided to move back to Taiwan to aid in my education of the Chinese language. Of course, learning Chinese as a second language is as difficult as it sounds. With some hard work and the right learning strategies, I was able to get a good grasp on the language and even winning third place in a national writing competition four years after moving to Taiwan.Although I learned a new language during the time I was in Taiwan, I slowly lost my English speaking, writing, and reading abilities. When I moved back to the States in 9th grade, my English was not fluent enough to be put into a classroom with the other native speakers. I worked hard, and I was able to get out of a two-year ESL (English as a Second Language) program in just a semester.I have tutored students since I was in high school in English, Chinese, mathematics, and most subjects in the area of natural sciences. I don't want to just teach my students the subjects themselves. I want to teach them my strategies and SECRETS to learning quickly and efficiently. I am easy to reach and will provide fast responses. Feel free to contact me with questions or to schedule a lesson.I can't wait to speak with you soon!
I take a great deal of pride in my dedication to teaching and mentoring. I have a strong and consistent record of supporting student engagement with course material both inside and outside the classroom. My current teaching and advising commitments build upon a wealth of international teaching experience developed at previous postings at St. Edward's University, the University of Texas, the University of Cambridge, the Aga Khan University in London, Judson High School in Converse, Texas, and The Khabele School (come Headwaters School) in Austin. Through each of these formative, professional engagements I have amassed a strong background of effective instructional techniques leading students to comment favourably on my energy and erudition in the classroom. Likewise, colleagues have praised my positive influence upon the student body. I am a passionate and dedicated teacher with demonstrated productive capabilities, and a strong motivation for student engagement and support. I am committed to the provision of rich, globally-focused instruction to culturally and economically diverse student populations.
I am currently a freshman at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in business. I went to Friendswood High School and graduated #3 in my class of 545 students. My hobbies include basketball (huge Rockets fan), music, as well as playing with my two dogs. My strongest teaching subjects would be those that are math related, such as algebra and calculus. Macroeconomics is also one of my strengths, as I took the AP class for it in high school and am focusing on business in college. I am blessed to have the opportunity to help others learn while learning more myself in the process. Can't wait to get started with you!

Since childhood I've had a passion for teaching and learning math. I started actually competing in math tournaments starting in high school, but even in middle school I would do math for fun. Soon realizing my deep passion for math I ended up going to college for mathematics and now currently work as a Junior Java Developer for BGC Partners. That is a quick summary, but more detail below. In High School, I was very into competitive academics. I was on math team, science team, and even history team. My school was brand new so there weren't many people on the teams, but I always tried to make it more fun for people to come. I learned new math tricks on my own to help my fellow teammates. I ended up being district champion in number sense 2 years in a row and top 3 in mathematics those 2 years as well. Even back in high school I loved to help people with math regardless of what year they were or if it would benefit me or not. Now I usually just tutor math because I hope to maybe become a math teacher or professor in the future! Of course that's not for a while and I would have to do my Phd but I think it would be worth it because I believe teaching others math is amazing and it can truly help someone's future and there is no better feeling than that. More importantly personally I think math is just truly magnificent how these formulas and calculations of an intangible idea somehow explain all the real world.

I continued this passion when I went to Austin for college, working as an undergraduate researcher, mentor, and preceptor for biochemistry. I worked with my professors to organize and conduct weekly study sessions and reviews before exam days. Following graduation, I decided to postpone my plans of going on to medical school to become part of the AVID program. As an AVID tutor, I work work closely with disadvantaged students in grades 6-12 to help them with various subjects such as algebra I/II, geometry, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology.
