As someone on the autism spectrum, I understand firsthand the unique challenges and strengths that come with being neurodiverse. This perspective has fueled my passion for helping all students, especially those who are neurodivergent, unlock their full potential and achieve their academic goals. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Theater Arts from Michigan Technological University, followed by a Master of Science in Information specializing in Digital Curation and Archives from the University of Michigan. These diverse educational experiences have equipped me with both subject-matter expertise and the ability to communicate concepts in creative, accessible ways tailored to different learning styles. With years of experience working with students in various capacities, from one-on-one coaching to facilitating workshops on skills like time management, I've developed a tutoring approach that is empathetic, patient, and flexible. I tutor subjects such as basic natural and earth science, American history, and creative writing. History is one of my favorite subjects to teach because it encourages curiosity about our past and famous figures, while I enjoy tutoring writing because it empowers students to express their unique perspectives and ideas. I have taught as a math instructor and tutor for the last few years. I began tutoring mathematics as an undergrad in the math learning center at Michigan Tech, where I earned my BS in Applied Math. I then started teaching as a graduate assistant at Oakland University, where I earned my MS in the Spring of 2014. My goal is to help any individual, no matter the age, succeed in mathematics. Outside of academia, I enjoy various summer and winter sports, such as snowboarding, running, and volleyball.

I hold two master's degrees: one in human rights policy from the University of Minnesota, and one in discrete mathematics from Michigan Technological University, where I also completed my undergraduate studies with a dual major in computer science and mathematics and a physics minor. I am a current student at Michigan Technological University and am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in statistics.
