I was born in the US Virgin Islands and attended the University of the Virgin Islands, where I tutored students in math, science, computer science, and writing. During my undergraduate studies, I had research experiences where I developed my programming and analysis skills. I continued pursuing these fields of study during my graduate studies at the University of Michigan. While there, I participated in several coding workshops as an instructor and taught learners of all ages.
