Education is our ticket to move forward, and I love to help learners of all ages!As founder, director, and instructor at a K-12 classical Christian private school, I love helping learners who may not be at grade level and who usually need a boost of confidence!Math from 6th through algebra, English, Latin, Government, Economics, Speech, Debate, Soft Skills, Art, Penmanship, Reading--from how to read to examination of classical literature, and composition at middle through doctoral grade levels are really enjoyable. My history includes corporate America, then homeschool mom of 4 for 25 years, then school leader, and an active Realtor. Personal education includes bachelor in marketing, master education in human services/counseling, and doctoral education in Business Management and Strategic Leadership.ADHD and autism spectrum learners are enjoyable, and I specialize in conceptual learning rather than grade-level.

I am a retired public-school teacher that was recruited to teach at a private school because of my experience and expertise. I graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish, and I've spent several years in the classroom as a teacher. With two years of experience teaching second grade and one year in first grade, I've had the privilege of working with students of varying skill levels, backgrounds, and learning styles. I am passionate about teaching because I love seeing the growth and progress in my students. I'm dedicated to understanding how each student learns best, which allows me to tailor my lessons to meet their individual needs. Whether your child is working above, at, or below grade level, I thrive on meeting them where they are and challenging them to grow. My favorite subjects to teach are math and reading (particularly phonics), and I've had the opportunity to help students in these areas build strong foundational skills while also pushing them to think critically and creatively. In my tutoring sessions, I believe in creating a supportive, yet challenging environment where students can feel confident and motivated to improve. I've had experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and different learning styles, and I understand how important it is to be flexible and patient. My goal is always to make learning fun and accessible while ensuring your child is prepared to succeed academically.
My passion for education drives me to provide the best education for my students. Learning is not constrained to the classroom, for I seek to learn about people and places to take with me. "People do not care how much you know till they know how much you care." I believe that we not only have the obligation to impart knowledge, but also show we care about the student's future.Every student has the potential to do great things. We as teachers have to find the way to bring that out. By differentiating our instruction based on the student's need, we can help each one be successful in education and in life.
I am a graduate of Missouri State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Finance graduating summa cum laude. While a student, my professor recommended me to tutor my classmates who were struggling in their Finance courses. Following graduation, I successfully completed the Chartered Financial Analyst exams and earned the CFA charter. These are rigorous exams that cover accounting, economics, corporate finance, and investment. After I earned the charter, I became a course instructor for the CFA review program offered by Stella. In my experience helping others, I have learned to ask questions and make connections to things a student already understands in order to build a foundation for learning new concepts. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy music, movies, hiking, and reading.
