I enjoy learning and want to inspire others to enjoy learning as much as I do. I am passionate about teaching because I love to see people grasp concepts that were perhaps confusing just minutes before. I like being a part of the process of success; each time a student does well in the educational process, that puts them one step closer to achieving their dream. I graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in French and a B.S. in Chemistry. I have fifteen years of experience in tutoring and teaching. I taught college level students at IUN, IUPUI, and Ivy Tech. I taught elementary kids and at Maple Grove Elementary. And, I currently teach both elementary school kids and high school kids at Sylvan Learning Center. I tutor french, college test prep (ACT and SAT), and mathematics for grades K -10, including Algebra and Geometry. My favorite subject to teach has always been math. When teaching math, I introduce the study material, along with pertinent examples and problem solving techniques. Then, before moving on to the next concept, I allow students to try problems independently, while remaining available to provide guidance.

When it comes to technology, I believe everyone has something to learn. As we move further into the future, my goal is to educate anyone from future Computer Scientists to everyday people who want to understand their rapidly evolving world a little more. After completing my B.S. of Informatics and M.S. in Information Systems from Indiana University, I have had time learning everything from core Computer Science topics to topical areas such as Web Development, Cloud Platforms, Networking, Design, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity and more.In addition, I have taught at the IU for years and have been responsible for teaching classes designed for students with no experience in technology, all the way to creating Capstone material for graduating seniors to digest. I love having a fun time with my material and understand (as a young person myself) how difficult legacy education structures can be. Hence, my focus is to translate complicated topics into funny and meaningful understandings.I love working with people and now work full-time as a technology consultant with the same goals as before: helping people use and understand technology!
My goal is to make connections to what students already know and how the skills relate to real world situations to help with student understanding. Also, I am ready to work with students to determine what is the best way for them to grasp a better understanding of a concept.
Greetings!!! My name is Ms. Adrianna. I have been tutoring a wide range of students from K- undergraduates in college for 7 years now. I am currently a certified teacher in Indianapolis, and pursuing a graduate degree. I love educating, it's my greatest passion and has been my ambition since grade school. In my tutoring sessions you can expect to use a variety of tools to facilitate learning. I love to give real life examples and hands on experiences so that students grasp concepts. I use technology, manipulatives, and paper work to reinforce concepts. Hope to meet you soon!

"Failure is not always a mistake. It may be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying." - B.F. Skinner
I got my degree in Chemistry education in the Philippines and currently taking masters in the same field here in the US. I had 7 years of tutoring experience in different grade levels and subjects including middle and high school. I like teaching students' science, making it easier for them to understand. My favorite subject to tutor is basic math, science and to be more specialized: Chemistry. Before tutoring, I should know what curriculum you are in and be specific to the needs that you need tutoring. Let me know ahead what you need helped with so that I could strategize on how to make the concept easier and prepare my activities.
I graduated with a B.A. in Spanish and a minor in Sociology from Indiana University Northwest. I tutored IUN students in Spanish for two semesters, and I am a recipient of the National Spanish Honor Society award. I myself have received tutoring services throughout my schooling for other subjects so I know what it is like to struggle. I believe one who has struggled has the empathy to teach other students who are struggling. I adjust my tutoring methods to age of the student and the level of the content they are studying. My hobbies include reading, enhancing my Spanish skills, and spending time with others.
