I am passionate about helping students who have a poor relationship with learning and only find it boring. Education should be about discovery and empowerment; it should never feel discouraging. As a tutor, I give tutees as much power and choice as possible in order to help them become independent learners. My teaching style revolves around their learning style and needs.

I am a K-8 certified teacher, with endorsements in French and Learning and Behavior. My passions lie in reading and writing, but I love teaching all subjects. I'm Kacie, previously an English major with a concentration in Literature at Cornell College. I graduated in 2012 and have mostly tutored in lower level reading but recently have begun teaching ESL classes as well. My passions include science fiction/fantasy, Virginia Woolf, British literature, and creative writing.

I am a current English student at Cornell. Previously I have obtained an Associate's degree in fine arts, am currently working towards my bachelor's degree in english, and plan on obtaining a MFA in the same major.
