I am an undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis majoring in Neurobiology (B.S.) and minoring in Jazz Studies and Biomedical Physics. While I tutor many areas within math, science, and standardized test preparation, I am most passionate about biology and algebra because of my interest in these subjects as well as my belief in their importance. I have always been the friend who fellow peers go to for guidance with work and because of this, I have learned the value of patience, communication, and empathy in the education process. I recently left my post as a graduate student and researcher at Stanford University to pursue a career in medicine. My educational journey has been a long one, but I've always loved learning and that love has kept me in school (whether for better or worse :P) for more years than I can count. Though I don't plan on being a student forever, the time that I've spent preparing for college, graduate school, and now medical school has reminded me of how enabling a strong academic record can be.I've been tutoring since I was in high school and have worked with students at every level of education. I'm focused on math because of the importance it has in our daily lives. Aside from the ability to read, I don't think there is a skill that is in greater demand. That being said, I recognize that there are many aspects of Math that can be confusing. I like to employ chants and hand movements to help remember the vocabulary and methods necessary to be successful in Math.Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family (wife, 4 kids, and a dog!). When I'm taking some time to myself, I can either be found reading a good book (I love most genres but hold a special place for Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Dystopian books. or watching some sports on TV (Go Broncos!). After law school he will be attending Utrecht University in the Netherlands for his LL.M. and hopes to practice international law.Ankit is an avid fan of Tottenham Hotspur, the NY Giants and Georgetown Hoyas. I am a software engineer at a small technology company and volunteer teaching AP Computer Science at a local high school. I am passionate about tutoring in computer science and math to help people understand the beauty in the two fields. When tutoring, I find that it is important to engage the student by helping them understand the base of the problem and how to break it down into manageable sections. After this, it is important to figure out how to solve each part of the problem. By the end of my sessions, I hope that my students understand the basics of how we approached and conquered the problem, enabling them to do the same in the future without assistance. In my free time, I spend time visiting museums, going out to eat, and painting watercolor.

Dyslexia is an umbrella term for many types of symbol-ordering differences within the brain and I am happy to help others navigate taking control of their reading and test taking skills.

I then review laws and concepts that are fundamental to understanding chemistry and frequently relate them to popular topics such as sports, weather, and family.I plan let the students dictate the pace for the last half hour of each session.
