I am a junior at Vanderbilt University studying Economics and Math, and I intend to get my PhD in Economics after graduating. Taking the GRE was the first step of my graduate admissions process, and I want to help others achieve similar success so that they can pursue their dreams. In addition, I enjoy tutoring economics and chemistry, as those are my favorite subjects. During my spare time, I like to play cello, read, and bake pies (especially peach pie).

I'm a Nashville native. I graduated from Franklin Road Academy in 2012. While in high school I played basketball, volleyball, and softball. I was also involved in the literary magazine.

Earning a degree with a French emphasis means Mac didn't just study the language — he lived inside its grammar, literature, and cultural context for years. For AP French, he zeroes in on the presentational writing and speaking tasks that tend to separate 4s from 5s, drilling the subjunctive constructions and transitional phrases that make responses sound polished rather than translated from English.

I am an educator and artist with a passion for languages. I have experience teaching in both Minneapolis and Paris, and I have tutored in K-12 core subject matters - math, science, language arts, and social studies. I have my Master's of Education from the University of Minnesota in Second Languages and Cultures with a narrow focus on English as a Second Language. I am fluent in French and have an intermediate level in Spanish and Arabic. My main goals when working with students is to meet them where they are at in their learning, as well as use creative ways to make knowledge accessible. When I'm not teaching, I am spending time outside, reading up and working on anti-oppression, and watching movies. I am also a novice herbalist and astrologer, and hope to dedicate more time in learning about our plan(t)cestors and how they help with healing.

I am proud to say that the eleven-year-old Vietnamese girl and boy that I tutored for 5 years are both attending Medical school. In addition, I am proud to say that I speak, write and read in French, English, Spanish, Haitian Creole and Italian proficiently. Whenever I tell people that I speak French, they often assume that it is not my mother tongue language because I have no accent in English. I am always proud to say that I did not know how to speak English until I was 16 years of age. Learning a language is like cracking a secret code. Once you decode it, the treasure is yours.

I'm very happy helping others in their studies. Both my language level and my teaching skills will guarantee the quality and efficiency of the tutoring.

Georgetown's School of Foreign Service requires serious language chops, and Emma chose French as one of her core languages — studying it through advanced coursework (French 4 and AP-level) alongside Latin, which sharpened her instinct for grammatical structure in ways that transfer directly to mastering French syntax. She's the kind of tutor who'll have students watch a French film clip to internalize register and tone, then circle back to the formal essay techniques the AP exam actually scores.

I am a PhD student at the University of Michigan, studying social psychology. Before this, I was at Duke University completing a BS in psychology as well as a MS in global health. My research combines the fields of global health and psychology by examining the effects of culture on self-related psychological processes. I hope to continue in academia to become a professor of psychology, as teaching is among my greatest passions.

The AP French exam punishes students who can summarize but can't argue — the persuasive essay and cultural comparison require precise command of subjunctive mood, transitional phrasing, and thematic analysis. Ariel teaches students to build those skills together so that grammar serves communication rather than existing as a separate exercise.

I am originally from the suburbs of St. Louis, MO, and I attended Rockhurst University for my undergraduate degree. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in French & Education with a minor in English Literature. I am also currently working towards a Master of Arts in French at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I am certified to teach French K-12 in the state of Missouri (and have the qualifications for Kansas). I enjoyed teaching at both the middle school and the high school level as part of my training. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored both writing and French. I am now substitute teaching at a French immersion school in the area, and I had fun teaching grades 2nd and 5th there over the summer. I am available to tutor English grammar, literature, writing, math up to Algebra 1, all levels of French, and test prep (including ACT). As someone with an appreciation for languages, I especially like tutoring English and French. Since I am a certified teacher, I am prepared to present information in a variety of ways to help my students with understanding. Additionally, I like to help my students take responsibility for their own learning during our sessions. Aside from teaching, I enjoy spending time with my roommates and our animals, watching shows and movies, going to sporting events, and taking advantage of the nice weather outdoors.

Andrew's experience with the SAT Subject Tests in both French and French with Listening means he already knows the grammar structures, idiomatic expressions, and listening comprehension skills AP French demands. He approaches the exam's interpersonal and presentational communication tasks with the same analytical rigor he brings to his science and humanities subjects.

Two years living and teaching in Guadeloupe gave Megan the kind of immersive French fluency that AP exam prep demands — particularly for the interpersonal speaking and presentational writing tasks that trip students up most. I am a third-year undergraduate student at Carnegie Mellon University studying Voice and Opera Performance with minors in Music Education and French and Francophone Studies. My ultimate goal is to become a teacher because I love working with students to help them achieve mastery of their subject(s)!

I am senior at Brigham Young University with a 4.0 GPA. I am majoring in Exercise Science and am going to go to Physical Therapy school. I am also getting a minor in Psychology. I lived in France for two years and became fluent in the French language. I continue to converse with natives in French. I was a college chemistry TA for three semesters and love teaching chemistry. I did very well on standardized tests. I love to teach and impart knowledge to others in a way that is compatible with individual learning styles.
