I received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education with a minor in Bible and a Concentration in American Studies. I earned my Master of Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction and a Reading Endorsement Certificate focused on dyslexia. After spending nearly seven years in the classroom, I left to stay home with my son. However, I continued tutoring all subjects and teaching piano. I am passionate about watching struggling readers grow and become confident in their reading abilities. In addition to reading, I tutor math from kindergarten to Algebra 1. I enjoy learning new ways to make math easier for my students. Currently, I homeschool my four children, ages 6 to 17, and work with our local co-op teaching Pre-algebra. I believe every child can learn, but I must seek out how they learn best.

I enjoy healthy cooking, reading, playing the piano, crocheting, Pilates, and spending time outdoors with my family. We like to travel to historical sites and learn about the past.
