I have a BS in Community Health Education and an MS in Health Information Management. My professional experience includes operational implementation of procedure and diagnosis codes for an HMO, Medicare policy quality review, healthcare consulting and auditing evaluation and management services, and education for implementing ICD-10 codes. Currently, I perform clinical analysis reviews to enhance healthcare software applications. Throughout my healthcare career, I have continued my education and obtained my Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification in 2002 and Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) certification in 2019 from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).It is important to me to understand the student's goals and learning styles for an optimal teaching and learning environment.
