About Me

I am a native Houstonian and high school World Geography teacher. I graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and a minor in History. I am currently a graduate student at Sam Houston State University where am I and I pursing a Master of Arts in History. Also, I have spent numerous years mentoring and participating in community outreach. Educational Philosophy: I believe that teachers are here to serve the educational needs of students. I believe all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Student deserve to learn in a safe environment where they are invited to share their ideas and take risks. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. The 3 key elements that I believe are conductive to learning:1. Students must feel safe in the learning environment2. Students must have access to hands-on activities3. Technology must be incorporated in student environment
