10+ years of tutoring
Anthony
- My passion for tutoring comes from my passion about the subjects that I tutor, and my love of sharing knowledge and understanding.
- I have helped friends, classmates, and roommates throughout my schooling.
About Me
In a more official setting, I have tutored collegiate students in Computer Science and Data Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I also obtained my bachelors in Computer Science in three years. I was the VP of Engineering at the UW Software Development Club, and I have tutored students in Java, Python, C, and a tiny bit in SQL, but my own experience extends to the rest of the C family (C++ and C#) in addition to the web development stack - HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. My teaching philosophy is that mistakes are how we learn, and I have found that when your view of mistakes shifts to see them as puzzles to be solved, the learning process becomes fun. My tutoring style tends to be visual, hands on, and demonstration based.
Hobbies & Interests
My interests include computer hardware and software, video games, a bit of chess, nature, music, and fitness.
