About Me

As someone with a physical and reading disability, I find it important to make learning accessible to everyone. I have a BA in psychology and a MS in computational biology (with a focus on neuroscience) from Rutgers University. After receiving my Masters degree, I taught an Intermediate Algebra course and a Cell Membranes course at Rutgers. At the same time, I was tutoring psychology and neuroscience at the University's Learning Center, where I came across students with a wide range of learning styles and strengths. I try to adopt a strengths-based approach to tutoring and teaching, spending time outside of tutoring sessions breaking down concepts to match students' needs. Outside of academia, I spend a lot time writing music and singing, in order to express my emotions and experiences in life.
