Throughout my high school and college years I volunteered and later worked at a teen suicide hotline where, in addition to supporting teens in crisis, I taught lessons on mental health to middle schools and high schools and mentored over 100 teenage volunteers. My favorite subjects to tutor in are English, History, and Social Sciences. (I was also a theatre kid and have a soft spot for Drama!) As someone who struggled in their own education, I firmly believe that working with students to create an individualized approach that works best for them is the key to success.

I really enjoy reading and writing in my free time. I love all sorts of genres from mysteries to coming-of-age, from nonfiction to Japanese manga. I'm also a huge TV and movie buff, and love animals! In addition to the dogs and cats in my personal life, I love to petsit for other people and getting to care for their animals too!
