About Me

I am hoping to go back for my masters in Social Work so I can start working as a therapist for children and young adults. Teaching students is unlike anything I have done before; by helping students you are aiding them to get a step closer to their future, and to achieve their dreams. When helping a student you might be opening the doors to the next engineer to go to space, or the next winner of a Nobel prize. I have previously worked with students of all ages and truly, they have become my dear friends each time. Teaching for me has been more than just having a student learn something, it has been about building relationships and truly exploring the potential of that student. I can help Elementary and Middle School students with english, math, and science. As well as students of all ages with spanish, which is my favorite subject to teach. There is something about teaching my native language to others that makes me so happy. My teaching style is interactive and adaptive, I will try different approaches until I find what works best for that student. Depending on the age I might even learn about how they learn and go from there. When teaching I believe that everyone has potential, and even when they struggle with one subject they excel at others. I love people. I love spending time with my friends and family, as well as meeting new people and hearing their stories.
