One of my passions is to teach, to be a support system and positive influence to our younger generations. I have over 10 years of experience working with students grades K-12, but most of my experience is with middle and high school students. I graduated from Virgina State University with a Sociology Bachelors degree, and Grand Canyon University with a Secondary of Education Masters degree. I tutor Spanish, English as a second language, and English. I enjoy teaching languages because I speak 3 languages and I understand what it takes to learn effectively, so I do my best to identify the simplest approaches such as visual and auditory methods to learn Spanish and or English. My teaching philosophy is student-centered, I focus and accommodate my approaches to fulfill and address the needs of each student. Outside of academia my interests are to travel, watch and play sports, as well as making and tasting different foods, and to love, appreciate and enjoy another day alive.
