I love teaching! I have taught English, language arts, and journalism to middle school and high school students, and you will find me reading and writing along with them. I have also coached high school cross country, track, and basketball. I attended DePauw University for my English degree, Indiana University for my teaching degree, and the University of Southern Indiana for my master's degree.

When I have a chance to get away, I love to camp, hike, and kayak. My morning routine includes spending time reading scripture and doing some writing. I also do woodworking and pyrography on birch bark. Most importantly, I love spending time with my wife, daughter, and dog, Odin.
