About Me

I have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a mathematics minor. I also have a master's degree in mechanical engineering and have been a practicing engineer for the past 21 years. After college, I've taught math and science in a Jr. High school for three years and found it to be a very rewarding experience. In the graduate school, I taught and tutored as a teaching assistant for the undergraduate physics lab course. I've continued to enjoy the joy of teaching and sharing through private tutoring. Even working as an engineer, I welcomed opportunities to mentor junior engineers to help them grow and sharpen their skills as engineers. I love to see the joy in the students' faces when they finally understand the concepts that have been eluding them and find the confidence in themselves. I accomplish that by finding out the gaps in the students' mastery of the subject matter and exploring ways to help students understand them at their pace. We'll talk and solve some problems together and have fun learning as it used to be. I hope you will rediscover the joy of learning in the process. My favorite subjects to tutor are math, science, and engineering. In my down times, I enjoy watching dramas or movies about mysteries or procedurals or sci-fi. When I can, I also enjoy a good game of ping pong and volleyball.
