Hello! I'm Alicia Rasley. I am a writing teacher and advisor at the University of Maryland (the online campus). I have taught writing, English grammar, and literature for about 15 years. My aim is to help you become a better writer and improve whatever writing project you are working on. My teaching is affirmative and focused on discovering and enhancing your strengths, and improving those areas where you aren't as strong! As a writing tutor, I work with college and graduate students in all majors and disciplines. I am also trained in working with writers for whom English is a second language. As a long-time book editor, I am expert in grammar and punctuation. I also have worked with many creative writers of all ages and levels (from 1st grade to published!). Right now, I'm editing a bestselling novelist's 9th book, and also helping a musical-theater playwright with her 2-act play. Flexibility is important! If you think my affirmative and flexible approach can help you, I'll be excited to read and review what you've written and give you advice on how to make it better.
