About Me

It feels wonderful to be able to teach and mentor others. I believe education is the way to success and I wish for the success of all. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology at California State University, Sacramento. From there, I began working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other intellectual/developmental disabilities. I earned my Masters degree at University of the Pacific in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. While there, I taught research methods and statistics at the undergraduate level for 2 years. I am now finishing my PhD in Clinical/Counseling Psychology. I have completed several research projects, published research, and co-written chapters in books. Clinically, I have taught parents in several behavior strategies to help decrease their child's problem behaviors and increase acquisition of skills. I have worked with children as young as one and adults as spritely as 65. I am happy to tutor a variety of subjects (e.g., math, English, and general study/organization skills). I am determined to see a smile at every session! Additionally, I expect everyone is feeling more confident by the end than when they started. Confidence is key! I love teaching my children to be curious and confident. When I am not teaching or playing with my children, I love to read, watch Marvel or Disney movies, ride roller coasters, and go on camping/fishing trips.
