About Me

As a writing instructor, I believe that my job is not to "tell students what to do," but rather to coach and develop, to ask questions and give feedback as needed. In my experience, students who are open to this feedback--and show an eagerness to grow--are the most rewarding to work with. I believe that written communication is one of the most valuable skills one can master, and that all students, regardless of their past experiences with writing instruction, can become effective communicators of their ideas. I relish the feeling of writing something meaningful and effective, and I hope to impart that same experience to the students I get to work with!
