About Me
Hello! I will begin my program where I will receive my Masters in Medical Science at Boston University Medical School in the fall. I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I began tutoring lower and middle schoolers in English, Maths and Science, and organizational and study techniques. In college, I worked as a supplemental instructor (SI). I held weekly review sessions outside of class and helped students prepare for tests, quizzes, labs, and pending homework assignments. I also worked with students in the local high school and college to develop personal statement ideas, how to write personal statements, and edit them. I love to use different strategies to help convey information and enjoy explaining topics in many different ways until something clicks. Working with students on educational topics is extremely important and crucial to understanding material. Still, I also think introducing new and upcoming study techniques can help make studying more fun and even easier to do! I believe learning should be engaging, fun and leave the student with new confidence in the material. I am excited and hope to show you when we work together how to bring joy to learning.
Hobbies & Interests
Since I am new to the Boston area, I love spending time exploring the city and spending time with my family when I am not teaching or tutoring. I also love to dance, run, read books, cook new dishes (especially recipes I find online), and travel. I love to go hiking and exploring new places in nature. I love animals and am looking to adopt a puppy sometime soon.
