I am extremely passionate about teaching and tutoring biology. My expertise is in ecology, general biology, taxonomy, and general microbiology. I have 2 years of tutoring experience at the collegiate level, and 4 years of teaching experience. I can teach in a variety of ways. As for myself I am a visual learner so I tend to use more visuals and drawings when I teach, but if there is a prefered method of teaching, I am happy to alter my style to fit your needs! I believe that the best way to learn is to ask a lot of questions. Therefore, before every session, I will ask you to come prepared with at least 3 well thought out questions that require an answer other than "yes" or "no." Questions that require critical thinking, will not only help you better understand the material, but will also help me get a good understanding of what you know and what we need to work on for our sessions. My goal by the end of our sessions is for you to come out with a better appreciation for biology as well as a better understanding of the subject matter.
