I am a graduate of North Carolina State University. I received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Sciencein Mathematics Education. Since graduation, I have moved 8 times with my husband who is a Marine, tutoring, teaching, and assisting children in many different classroom settings. I especially enjoyed being an AVID tutor and working with small groups of students to further understand their current mathematics struggles. While I have worked with students in a broad range of subject areas, my passion lies in mathematics. When students reach that AHA moment, the pride and wonder they experience is so pure and motivating! I also have a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Working with students and getting to hear their stories as well as working in a subject I love, motivates me to continue to inform and support young people. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, hiking, and playing games with my two children ages 11 and 13.
