About Me

Hello students! I am an Education college student in my final year to earn my teaching credential for Adolescent and Young Adult education in Language Arts. I specialize in assistance with reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and critical analysis of a text. In addition to my training to become a language arts teacher, I have a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. I worked as a professional writer for several years before changing my career to pursue education. I believe that every student has the ability to learn course content. Often, the missing elements in successful learning are the "how" and "why" of content. I find out how students learn best by asking questions and creating learning methods based on student aptitudes. I also believe that students learn much more efficiently when they understand why something is critical or important, and how it can apply to their future goals.*PLEASE NOTE: My tutoring schedule may be subject to change during the fall semester due to upcoming on-site student teaching for my credential program during the morning and afternoon hours.
