I always knew I was interested in education: after all, both my parents are teachers. However, before tutoring for myself I didn't realize how much I enjoyed and cared about helping students reach their fullest potential. As an English major, I enjoy tutoring in literature most of all. I remember hearing friends and classmates talk about how much they disliked their required readings or their English classes, and I want to be able to help you regain some excitement for reading. With my background in linguistics, I also truly delight in the formal features in language, which means that I seek out opportunities to answer questions about grammar, syntax, and vocabulary!

Obviously I spend a lot of time reading, but I also enjoy working with dead languages such as Old English and Latin. I also listen to podcasts from time to time: my favorite at the moment are plot-driven dramas. I love cats, cool maps, and keychain collecting!
