About Me

As a member of the Varsity Tutors community, my goal is to make every session safe, enlightening and fun! I earned my Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Throughout my college career, I assisted classmates that were struggling with their English courses and helped several of them turn failing grades into A's. My favorite subject to teach is English because of its versatility. Mastering the art of writing, along with the art of speaking, can help one in so many ways; and I want to bring that power to my clients. My teaching philosophy is to investigate, introduce and instruct. By following these three models of learning, I will help you reach whatever goals you have set for yourself. Aside from tutoring, I also work at the Public Library. I enjoy reading and writing and look to publish my second book in the coming months! I believe it's my job to help you see the light inside you, all you have to do is take that first step!
