About Me
I have five years of tutoring experience with middle schoolers all the way up to graduate students and have been both a preschool teacher and a teaching assistant for college courses. I enjoy explaining new concepts and helping students engage with new material. My tutor philosophy focuses initially on diagnosing the student's problem areas and then working step-by-step to improve their abilities and confidence. I have tutored middle school reading and writing for 4 years and ESL English for 2 years. I am also experienced in helping with essay editing and tutoring high school Critical Reading. Additionally, I am proficient in Spanish after studying abroad in Santiago, Chile for 7 months. In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, and attempting to cook new dishes!
