Currently I am working on my Master's degree in Public History and North Carolina State University. I have tutored history and Latin through academic honors societies at Hillsdale. I did two semesters of history tutoring and 4 semesters of Latin tutoring. This included helping college students at all levels and also some high school students. In addition, I have been involved in many school programs at several historic sites, teaching history to primarily grade school students. This is one of my favorite ways to teach history--I like being able to bring the past to life. I am dedicated to helping students understand the subjects they are studying and develop a passion for them. I want to create a pleasant learning environment and allow my students to find their potential. Outside of academics, I love spending time in museums (after I earn my Master's, I want to work as a curator). I also enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities.

My main interest is in museums and how they bring history into the public sphere. My hobbies include reading, crocheting, and anything outside!
