I tutored both General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. I finished my Undergraduate degree in Psychology with a Minor in Biology. I started teaching Chemistry while I was working on my first Master's Degree; I taught General Chemistry Labs. I enjoyed teaching so much that after I finished my degree I started teaching Honors Chemistry at the High School level. As a teacher, I love to use hands-on methods to teach concepts to my students. I believe in fostering a supportive and caring environment for learning. Part of the learning process involves struggling with the material before mastery. I work very hard to support my students during this challenging time. I also believe in helping students learn to take responsibility for their own learning process. This involves helping my students to learn the best ways in which to study challenging material for them as an individual so that they can be successful not just at their current educational level but also have study skills to take with them throughout their lives.
