As a student at Pomona College, a highly selective liberal arts college in California, my love of writing, reading, and education came to fruition amongst some of the top professors and students in the country. I have worked with high school and college-aged students on all types of writing, ranging from college admissions essays to senior theses - and everything in between. I'm currently applying to be a Ph.D. candidate in the hopes of becoming a professor in the social sciences, as my greatest passion is helping students harness their potential and realize their success! I know what it's like to struggle in a class - I would never have succeeded in school without the help of my teachers, professors, and tutors. I'm excited to meet you where you're at, build upon your strengths, and help you improve in any area you'd like to. I am a writer by trade and have written countless pieces of creative and academic writing. Some have been published, including assisting a professor in college during the writing phases of one of her books. I have worked with students of multiple age groups and diverse backgrounds to find their personal voice, strengthen their writing, and hone in on their arguments. Additionally, I am a comfortable public speaker. From my time a high school debater to my most recent professional experiences in undergraduate admissions, I have learned how to command an audience of any size and conquer my own fears of being on stage! I worked extensively in college admissions, both as a college student and a professional. I have 2 years of professional admissions experience at Whitman College, a selective liberal arts college in Walla Walla, WA. My time in the undergraduate admissions offices at two top colleges has taught me the ins and outs of the college search process, how to craft a personal statement reflective of your personality and goals, and countless tips and tricks for admissions and financial aid applications. I have worked in a college counseling role for high school students during my time at Whitman, as well. I would be honored to help you accomplish your goals!
