I have always been fascinated with how superior communication can affect the way one's perspective; Specifically, how fiction can shape the boundaries of the real world. Studying English, and writing in general, also allows the student to analyze information critically, which will help the student in every possible career choice. Personally, I grew up reading as much as I could, playing music, and studying film in order to understand as many aspects of the human condition as possible. I am a strong believer that when you take the time to study how something works, you can apply that investigative process to any subject and become a more well rounded person.
