About Me

Greetings! I tutor a variety of subjects, but I specialize in helping students with mathematics and economics. I have experience tutoring a wide variety of students, including students of all ages and even those with learning disabilities. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Economics from Spelman College, and even wrote a Thesis. I am currently earning my Master's of Business Administration Degree in Marketing and Management at Howard University. When students are not interested or bored, I think that they just lack the proper motivation and a way to integrate creativity into tutoring methods. I strive to help students pursue their studies with excellence and except nothing less. I believe that talent can be cultivated and is not simply something a person must be born with. When not tutoring, I enjoy dancing, volunteering with my church, going out with friends, kickboxing, travelling, and trying a new activity.

Throughout my academic career, tutoring and mentoring were an important part of my intellectual growth and development. Sharing knowledge is not only the best way to convey deep and thorough understanding of a subject, but also incredibly rewarding. When working with a student, I seek to engage with him or her in order to utilize existing strengths to bolster areas for development and provide a unique, individualized learning plan that will ensure success. The satisfaction of watching a tutee gain mastery of a subject that was once a cause of confusion and frustration is unparalleled. Being able to guide someone in this journey is a true privilege.
