About Me

Hello! I am a teacher and a classically trained pianist. In the classroom, and privately, I have been teaching Music, English literature, composition, and reading for over 20 years. I love reading and writing and would love to help you with your essays, test prep, grammar, poetry and creative writing, Music Theory, History, Geography or Social Science. I would also love to help with your elementary Math! I believe that good reading, math, writing and critical thinking skills can be a very important asset in just about every field of work. I would love to help you develop those skills. Born in Australia, I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney in English Literature and a Masters degree in Music Education from City University of New York Hunter College. I am certified to teach K-12 Music in both New York and New Jersey. In addition to teaching, I have traveled throughout the world and have volunteered with a global humanitarian organization. I have seen first hand how a good education can uplift and change people's lives for the better. In my spare time I like to play music, read, travel and spend time with my husband and 2 year old daughter. I look forward to hearing from you!
