About Me

I am determined to maximize my own potential and I am driven to heighten my level of cultural competency through global travel. As you can glean from my academic background I am deeply committed to the acquisition and refinement of knowledge. I enjoy helping others gain access to meaningful educational opportunities and excel in them, which is why I have developed a career in higher education administration. I currently work with international students and scholars in a law school, but my experience with academic services dates back to my time as an undergraduate writing tutor at Kent State. This is were I cultivated the ability to modify my teaching style in accordance with individual learning differences. In other words, I do not enter a tutoring or advising session with a one-size-fits-all mentality. I put my full energy toward helping students develop a personal writing style that is shaped by best practices and can be applied to a number of works, including personal statements, cover letters and analysis papers.
